Aloft on a Coconut Palm
There is a guy aloft
on a coconut
palm.
If there is
a coconut with your name
you know fate
has called you. I did chose
though, to sit
right here.

He is scaling
another palm walking
up as if it were flat
and he, a monkey –
machete tied
to a ten foot rope
like a tail.
